Teddy Roosevelt born this day, 1858

teddyOn this day in 1858, the future 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt was born in New York City. Besides being an important progressive reformer, Roosevelt also brought a strong conservation mentality to public policy and was instrumental in the founding of our national park system. Find the Camel!! He’s hanging out in the library. Take a picture, show the picture to one of the library staff and you will be entered into a drawing for a gift card to the bookstore.

Friday: 8am-5pm

Saturday: 10am-2pm

Sunday: 1pm-5pm

Look for the camel on Wednesdays in the library and take his picture to be entered into the drawing. One winner will be chosen each month. You can enter once every week!
