Rentschler Library is gathering gently used books for a soon-to-be displayed collection of books that you can read, then return to us, or keep. It will be called the Book Exchange and is modeled after a similar service at a small academic library.
The idea is you have some books that are cluttering up your bookshelves and you think someone else might appreciate them. So you bring them to Rentschler Library and dump them in a box right inside the front doors. We’re still gathering books at the moment but hope to have some out for display by the middle of spring semester.
Not all books you donate will make it to the Book Exchange shelves (like cookbooks with food stains in them, or textbooks with lots of highlighting) but we’re not going to be too picky!
