Research is in the air

Citation_neededBesides the start of tree pollen season, sneezing season, and warmer temps, it’s also time to start digging in to your research. Annotated bibliographies are soon due, then final papers or projects. Don’t wait until the last minute! Contact the librarians at Rentschler Library to get help. We can suggest research strategies or help you track down that one elusive fact that will help you make the grade.

TRIO program to be housed in library

trio officesRentschler Library is proud to be the location of the new Hamilton campus TRIO program.  The goal of the program is to support and graduate eligible, highly motivated students by providing academic coaching, intensive advising, tutoring, mentoring, financial literacy workshops and much more as students work toward their academic and career goals. A TRIO coach will have an office in the back of the library near our computer classroom.  (See photo above) Workers began setting up the TRIO office on Fri. March 4th. Students will chosen for the 1st cohort soon and will thereafter spend dedicated time in this library space.

TRIO is funded from a five-year, $1.1 million grant from the United States Department of Education through the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program. The grant was awarded to the regional campuses in the summer of 2015.
